Chelsea London have sacked their manager, Italian Carlo Ancelotti, after yet another dissapointing season for The Blues.

The Stamford Bridge club are now looking for a substitute with Marco van Basten beaing a number one candidate for the job. The club is also said to be considering Porto's Andres Villa-Boas for the post.

Chelsea have given themselves seven weeks to find a new manager after ending the deal with Ancelotti and handing him a £6.5 million pay-off.

Guus Hidding was also named as one of the potential future-managers but the Dutchman himself said he would not be interested in coaching The Blues again. In addition, Hiddink has nominated fellow Dutchman Van Basten for the post.
