A special match was held yesterday at the San Siro stadium - AC Milan's and Real Madrid's legends met to pay the annual tribute to Stefano Borgonovo.

Borgonovo made 13 appearances for Milan in the late 80s, then moving to Fiorentina. In September 2008 it was revealed Borgonovo was suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

The match itself was an excellent occasion to see some of the greatest football stars playing together. It ended with a Milan's 2-0 victory, with goals from Simone and Fuser.

Marco van Basten only appeared in the first few minutes while presenting the squads and kicking-off. He then gave an interview also commenting on AC Milan's current situation and transfer market activity.
