It was reported yesterday by Il Corriere Dello Sport that Marco van Basten would be the first to replace AC Milan's Leonardo due to the very poor results of the Brazilian coach.

The newspaper suggested that Rossoneri bosses contacted Van Basten in order to encourage the ex-Milan superstar to join the Milanese team, only this time as the manager. That was said to be caused by Milan's extremely bad results and Leonardo's inability to incite the players and inspire them to start winning again.

However, Marco's agent, Van Overeem is quoted today by Infostrada Sports saying that "He can only deny the rumours that Milan have contacted him or Marco van Basten personally."

Van Overeem also speaks about Van Basten's future: "Marco is not yet interested in picking up a coaching job after his departure at Ajax last summer. He is considering his future at the moment and he will probably start looking for a new club this winter."
